Snow Plowing
Winter maintenance is an important part of the service packages that we offer. Snow removal can be a critical service for many commercial and residential customers. Our snow and ice management service area extends across the GTA.
Pre-treatments commence when ground and air temperatures are close to freezing, or are expected to drop below freezing (0oC). This is determined by monitoring weather forecasts and/or visual observation of precipitation. Most often this precipitation is in the form of snow, however rain can freeze upon ground contact and present hazardous and slippery conditions as well.
Snowplowing is done after a snowfall of 2 inches or more on an automatic clearing basis. Snow will be cleared by 7 a.m. providing that it has stopped snowing by 4 a.m.
Salt and or sand/salt mix applications can be included in the contract price, or be priced separately per application.
We are always “On Call” during snow events and can be reached either directly by phone or by radio dispatch. You are dealing with snow professionals and you can count on us 24/7 all winter long.
To provide an accurate and impartial method of billing our Winter Maintenance customers, we rely on Environment Canada and their available local observers reports. Customers can get the latest Snowfall Event Totals for the GTA as reported by Environment Canada Service.
